In their words
(Rabbi) Isser's first concern whenever he sees me is to make sure I am doing well and in my classes and in life. This isn't really a single anecdote, but it's something that really sums up Isser's relationship with the students.

It’s an amazing and safe environment to learn about Judaism and get to know more Jewish students. Additionally, their events are fun!!" - Havah Sterns, Club Member 2017
This past semester (in 2018) I came to their parent’s home where they were living and hosting shabbat to help cook for shabbat. I came into the home confused and overwhelmed. I had just came from my advisors office I realized that I needed to change my path a little bit and that was scary. I had all of these option and felt lost. My intention coming to cook was to do just that;cook. I wanted to help them after all they have done for me. Little did I know that the couple of hours helping them cook was going to turn into them helping me figure out my life. We spent those couple hours picking out different aspects of my options and reasons I want them and everything. Both the Rabbi and Rebitzen showed such a genuine interest in my life and really help me get closer to what I wanted out of life. Our conversation was both intellectual and spiritual, which is in fact the way Chabad learns Torah and Judaism. This story shows that the Kluwgants bring more than just a safe place to explore Jewish Identity, they really become a second family that can help you gain clarity.

Rabbi Isser went above and beyond trying to get me on a Birthright Trip to Israel. I had promised myself that I would go when I was 20. I had applied to Birthright and had been accepted to a trip, but because of school and tests apparently I missed the email somehow or didn't get it at all and that ruined my chances of going the year that I had promised myself that I would go. I didn't know what to do, and that's when I talked to Rabbi Isser. He made some phone calls and somehow got me on the trip which he was supervising and was the trip I wanted to go on in the first place. There is not much I can say other than thank you and thank God most of all. Without that trip and without it being in the perfect time that it happened, I don't know what I would have done. I say this with true honestly and true love in my heart. I had an experience of a lifetime and all the places I saw and all the places that I went were so familiar yet so new and I had incredible experiences with individuals that I barely knew. The best part of my entire trip was seeing my family from Israel for the first time. I saw and experienced my Savta for the first time and she was amazing. She was so light and so happy and I was able to talk to her about almost anything. A couple months after I came back from Israel, she passed away from cancer in the stomach. It was the right time for me to go. Somehow I knew it and Rabbi Isser was there to help me. My mom always says this and I do believe it is true: "God's times are perfect".
